Elevate your online presence with ease

Hi, I’m Ruth!

I’m the founder of Ember Kind, and I design websites that feel thoughtful, calm, and genuinely easy to use.

I’ve always been drawn to brands that care, whether that’s caring for animals, supporting wellbeing, or working in service of community. Over time, I noticed a pattern: many of these businesses were doing incredible work, but their websites felt overwhelming, unclear, or hard to manage.

Ember Kind was created to change that.

My approach to web design is gentle but intentional. I focus on clarity, accessibility, and usability - creating websites that support both the people behind the business and the people using the site.

No jargon. No pressure. Just thoughtful design, built with care.

My Values

These principles guide every project, big or small.

People-first design

Websites should be kind to the people using them. I prioritise accessibility, clarity, and ease of use so everyone can navigate with confidence.

Calm over complexity

Clear structure and thoughtful choices create better experiences than clever tricks.

Accessibility built in

I design for real people, not algorithms or trends. Empathy, inclusion, and understanding sit at the heart of my process. Inclusive design isn’t an add-on, it’s part of every decision I make.

Gentle and supportive

No jargon, no pressure. Just clear communication and steady guidance at every step.

Meet Ember

The heart behind the name. Ember is my dog, my constant companion, and the quiet inspiration behind Ember Kind.

She reminds me daily that:

  • patience matters

  • presence matters

  • care is shown through small, consistent actions

Ember Kind carries those lessons into the work I do, creating digital spaces that feel safe, warm, and grounded.
